slip angle

slip angle
1) the angle between the x-axis and direction of travel of the center of tire contact.
2) the angle between the direction in which a tire is aimed or steered and its actual direction or, in other words, the angular difference between the wheel direction and the contact patch direction. Slip angle is caused by deflections in the tire's sidewall and tread during cornering.
